Meeting Point: Best Western Hotel - Chemainus
We will drive on Chemainus Road north from Chemainus Best Western to the junction with the TCH and proceed north, watch a few hundred meters for signs pointing you to turn right to Transfer Beach (Brits on the Beach venue) and continue down until you see the beach, you will see volunteers waiting to the right to guide you into the parking area. This will take all of ten minutes from the starting point.
Note: Remember to bring a hamper of nonperishable food (I normally bring about $20.00 worth from the local supermarket in Chemainus), or an equivalent funds donation to present at entry, there is no fee to enter the car show. Proceeds go to the Ladysmith food bank. Bringing a picnic lunch with you and folding chairs is suggested. You will be directed to park the best way to get a shady spot is to arrive by say 0845 hours, remember that there will likely be upwards of 250 cars arriving on site.
Following the event, by 1600 hours, you should be able to head north to Departure Bay or Duke Point or south towards Victoria.
